Pressure – Do You Feel It?

One of the things I’ve come to notice lately is that I probably have more work than I think I do and the slump I’ve blogged about seems to be ending here. However, looking at the calendar and trying to figure out where to fit everything is beginning to give me a headache.

What I mean to say is that I am feeling some strain. I was talking to my sister last night and whining about how lucky she is to have our mom take her kids so she can study. Much like me, she is back in school too and working and raising two kids. Granted there are some differences in our situations but the gripe remains the same. Neither one of us can seem to get anything accomplished while the kids are in view. I get some help but it is still a struggle.

I’ve finally realized there isn’t enough time in the day. I am frustrated, angry and in general a very bad mood from it all. That helps no one. Every morning I have to be somewhere or something or even both. The thing I want to be most is a writer. Maybe it’s that the people surrounding me don’t take it seriously. Maybe it’s that I am not firm enough in my demand for time to work. I don’t know what the problem is but it is weighing on my shoulders like a bear waking after a long hibernation. Who knows? Maybe this is just an off week. The last two produced almost no work and now… here it is!

So here’s my tribute to all of us who feel the strain (because I can’t get this song out of my head today.) Enjoy!

“there isn’t enough time in the day”

Oh my goodness! I wrote today’s post at Work From Home Momma on Busyness BEFORE I even read this post.
