That’s the question I was asking in my math class this week. It’s been 15 years since I took any form math in an organized classroom setting and now I remember why.
I don’t like math.
Right now what I like even less is the process of moving and updating from my old blog’s home to the new home. It’s a time consuming and drawn out process. Besides, I haven’t a clue what I am doing so I am completely winging it. So far winging it seems to be working for me. However, I am still constantly asking myself “Am I doing this right?” and double checking my work.
Unfortunately you can’t wing it in math. If I had any advice for anyone who wants to move their blog, it would be to do some serious homework first. Take into consideration all the places you social network or have your blog submitted before jumping to a different ship.
All in all, the move hasn’t been bad. I have taken this afternoon to update some of my signatures on the forums I belong to, I’ve added a couple of things (now I know who you are and where you came from again!) and even toyed with adding some things the blogger account didn’t have before.
If this was a math class I would have failed horribly because I didn’t follow any steps to get to my end result. Instead I moved straight to the end and I am now backtracking to the beginning.
Good thing this isn’t Math huh?
Isn’t that the truth (about moving sites). I think that’s why so many people stay on Blogger (or wherever they are).
I started sophiaslife as its own domain from the beginning. I pointed that domain to blogger for a very short time, so that when I moved I didn’t really have to do much in terms of updating.
Keep it up, you’re doing all right here, especially for winging it!
I agree – math is the beast, man! I took it about ten years ago and the tears I shed were infinite. My only advice is to just sit with that book and try and try. You’ll fail, but all at once, it’s going to click. It did for me. Took me quite a while, but I was determined (after giving up so many times) that Algebra wasn’t going to beat me.
I’m rooting for you.

Thanks Sophia! The hardest part truly is remembering all my bookmarks and whatnot!
Aaahhh Lori I am waiting to here how my test went the other day. I think I did well. I only say that because I could double check myself with the calculator!
